With the start of the new school year, the German International School in Accra has elected a new student council to represent the interests of the students and enrich school life. Under the leadership of liaison teachers Ramona Klaes and Patrick Blanke-Schelle, the elected students are ready to actively advocate for the interests of their fellow students.

Another important focus of the school year was the search for a new caterer for the school canteen. The pupils actively participated in this process by making suggestions and providing feedback on the various test meals. This shows the commitment and willingness of the student body to have a say, which helps to shape school life in a positive way.

The student council was also presented with the school's new motto "Building Bridges". Together, they discussed the school's vision and mission. The liaison teachers presented the ideas and suggestions of the school community and were taken into account during the discussion. This once again demonstrates the close exchange between teachers, student representatives and parent representatives.

The student representatives of the German International School in Accra are an important part of the school community and play an important role in making school life dynamic and diverse. Through their work, they help to ensure that the interests and needs of the students are heard and respected.

We look forward to a successful school year together with the student council and the entire school community and to working together to make the German International School in Accra an inspiring learning environment in line with our new mission: "Building Bridges".
