Secondary School
Students are still taught in mixed year groups after primary school.
New subjects and learning methods are constantly being introduced to prepare students for their professional and/or academic future.
Digital media are part of the lessons and are used for presentations, homework, research and educational videos.
Teaching in small learning groups enables individualized support from the teaching staff. There are numerous support programmes at the school for children who require special support in spelling, language, etc.
Pupils at GISA are given the opportunity to complete a Hauptschule or Realschule qualification. It is also possible to obtain the qualification for the transition to upper secondary school. Lessons are taught by teachers qualified in Germany according to the curriculum of the federal state of Thuringia. A Cambridge intermediate examination can be obtained in Year 7 or 8 if desired.
