At the German International School Accra, we support every child on their individual learning journey. Small learning groups, targeted support measures, and our dedicated enrichment and support programme (Förderband) allow us to respond to both learning needs and particular strengths. Talents are identified early and nurtured purposefully, enabling each student to build confidence and develop their full potential.

A special focus is placed on hands-on and project-based learning. Through our Förderband programme and project-based learning activities, students explore meaningful questions, pursue personal interests, and develop creative and independent approaches to problem-solving. In doing so, they strengthen curiosity, initiative, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.

Digital learning is an integral part of everyday classroom practice. Tablets support research, creativity, communication, and presentation skills while helping students develop confidence in using digital tools responsibly and effectively. At the same time, fostering a love of reading remains a key element of our educational philosophy. Our library offers a diverse collection of children's and young adult literature, inviting students to discover new stories, ideas, and perspectives.

Creative and practical skills are developed through art and design activities as well as opportunities for hands-on learning and experimentation. These experiences encourage imagination, innovation, and problem-solving. In addition, a wide range of extracurricular activities allows students to explore and deepen their interests in areas such as music, dance, languages, sports, and other fields beyond the regular curriculum.

Physical activity and movement are equally important aspects of school life. Our football field, basketball court, movement room, and versatile playground provide numerous opportunities for active play, teamwork, and healthy development. Our cooperation with the Gerald Asamoah Football Academy further enriches these opportunities, promoting teamwork, fairness, resilience, and personal growth through sport.
