Connection
Building bridges by connecting our learning community to opportunities in Germany, Ghana and worldwide.
At the German International School Accra, we open doors to a connected world. From an early age, our primary school students experience how learning can extend beyond national borders. Through pen-pal projects, video exchanges, and collaborative activities with children in Ghana, Germany, and other countries, they gain insight into different perspectives and develop an appreciation for cultural diversity.
International project days and themed weeks such as Ghana Day, Made in Germany, and the Day of the German Language help students explore global connections in an age-appropriate and engaging way. Bilingual stories, songs, and games not only support language development but also foster intercultural understanding and curiosity about the world.
Our students regularly work with partners both within and beyond the school community. Joint projects with schools, clubs, and organisations in the fields of sports, arts, music, and environmental education encourage teamwork, creativity, and social responsibility.
In this way, we create a learning environment where empathy, tolerance, and friendship are actively lived and experienced every day. Students learn to value differences, embrace new perspectives, and see themselves as part of an international community. By connecting opportunities in Germany, Ghana, and beyond, we prepare our students to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
