Project Time β Learning with Curiosity, Creativity and Purpose
Alongside our Educational Boost programme, Project Time forms the second pillar of our primary school concept.
During Project Time, children step beyond the traditional classroom setting to explore, create and discover. They choose from a wide range of regularly changing projects that reflect their interests and encourage them to develop new talents. Whether through art, music, theatre, media, technology, sustainability or cultural projects, learning becomes meaningful, practical and engaging.
Project Time is built on participation. Pupils contribute their own ideas, make decisions, take responsibility and actively shape their projects. In doing so, they develop essential future skills such as creativity, communication, collaboration, critical thinking and independent learning.
A distinctive feature of Project Time is our strong culture of presentation. Project outcomes are regularly shared with families, guests and the wider school community through exhibitions, performances, concerts and celebrations. These authentic audiences help children experience that their work is valued and that their ideas matter, strengthening confidence, motivation and a sense of self-efficacy.
As the German International School Accra, Project Time also reflects our international identity. It creates opportunities for intercultural learning, encourages children to appreciate different perspectives and builds bridges between cultures through meaningful shared experiences.
