Christmas Projects at GISA: Creating Together
After German Language Day on 31 October and the class trips in the first week of November, Christmas project time will begin at the German International School Accra. A wide range of activities awaits our primary and secondary students, with opportunities to create, sing, bake, discover and enjoy sports together.
Primary pupils can choose from five projects. Making beeswax wraps combines creativity with sustainability. Children can also design personal Christmas cards, create festive decorations as “Santa’s Little Helpers”, or spread Christmas cheer through singing. “Christmas Around the World” invites them to explore customs and traditions from different countries.
Secondary students also have a varied selection to choose from. Designing Advent calendars calls for imagination and practical skills. “Winter Games” brings movement and teamwork to the project sessions, while baking Christmas cookies promises delicious results. Another project group will explore how people around the world celebrate Christmas.
As always, students can name their three favourite projects so that we can match as many children and young people as possible with an activity that reflects their interests. All projects focus on the enjoyment of working together, discovering individual talents and learning from one another.
We look forward to a creative project season and plenty of shared moments filled with festive cheer!
