Football Fever at the Swiss Club: DFB Cup Final and More

Written on 25 May 2025

On Saturday evening, football fans gathered at the Swiss Club of GISA to watch the DFB Cup Final between Arminia Bielefeld and VfB Stuttgart. With cold drinks and pizza, the atmosphere was electric – a perfect public viewing experience!

The match itself was full of excitement: Bielefeld’s Noah Sarenren Bazee hit the crossbar early on, before Stuttgart took control. Nick Woltemade (15’), Enzo Millot (22’) and Deniz Undav (28’) gave Stuttgart a 3:0 lead at halftime. Millot made it 4:0 in the 66th minute. But Bielefeld showed resilience: Julian Kania scored in the 82nd minute, followed by an own goal by Josha Vagnoman (85’), bringing the final score to 4:2 in favor of Stuttgart.

Despite the defeat, Arminia Bielefeld earned respect for their impressive run to the final – a remarkable achievement for a third division team. Once again, the Swiss Club proved to be a fantastic host for cultural and community events.

What’s next:

  • Tuesday, May 27: Movie night with Gerald Asamoah – screening followed by a discussion.
  • Wednesday, June 4: Public Viewing of the Nations League semi-final – Germany vs. Portugal.

We look forward to many more memorable evenings together – on and off the pitch! ⚽🎬🇩🇪🇬🇭
