From the heart
A large group of doctors and medical professionals are once again answering the call of the Gerald Asamoah Foundation to operate on numerous children with heart disease at the Korlebu Teaching Hospital in Accra this week.
The GISA school community is very happy to support this wonderful project in the truest sense of the word by heart and is providing the doctors with coffee and cake every day.
This support is part of a larger co-operation in which one of the children operated on receives a full scholarship every school year.

Ukes of Hazard and O'Brolenkpe - concert in the Swiss Club
O'Brolenkpe is an amateur cover band made up of educators from the Lincoln Community School. It was started in 2020 and what they might lack in talent they make up for with enthusiasm. The unique instrumentation (bass guitar, 12-string acoustic guitar, drums, ukulele and banjo) allows for the creation of a unique sound that is sometimes supplemented by horns and guest musicians. Artists that O'Brolenkpe covers include Tom Petty, Van Morrison, The Beatles and Cat Stevens.
The Ukes of Hazard are an amateur ukulele ensemble also made up of educators from Lincoln Community School. Many members have little or no prior experience playing instruments but when the goal is to have fun, they consistently earn high marks! Artists that the Ukes cover include Cyndi Lauper and The Bangles.
