🏃♀️🏅 GISA Sports Day 2025 – Full of Energy, Team Spirit and Fun! 🏅🏃♂️
What a fantastic day it was! On Tuesday, June 17th, 2025, the El Wak Stadium turned into a vibrant arena of movement, joy, and community. The entire GISA team gathered at school at 8:00 a.m. and headed off together to the stadium – full of anticipation and team spirit.
The day kicked off at 9:00 a.m. with a cheerful warm-up game that got everyone moving and ready for the challenges ahead. Then, the athletic competitions began: long jump, ball throw, endurance run, and sprint – with every grade level participating enthusiastically. Our students gave it their all, showing not only athletic ambition, but also incredible teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day.
Around 12:30 p.m., everyone took a well-deserved break and enjoyed a shared lunch to recharge. But the highlight of the afternoon was yet to come: the legendary relay race between students and teachers! Loud cheers filled the stadium as both sides gave it their best – it was a thrilling and entertaining showdown!
To top it all off, the day concluded with a hilarious tug-of-war: teachers vs. students. With laughter and lots of cheering, the students pulled the teachers straight through the dirt – a moment none of us will forget anytime soon!
At 2:00 p.m., we returned to school – tired but beaming with joy after a successful, sporty, and unforgettable day.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to all our teachers for their fantastic support – and especially to Patrick Blanke-Schelle, who made a lasting mark just before his departure to Wuppertal. You’ll be truly missed at the next GISA Cup, Patrick!
GISA gets moving – and how! 💪🎉
