Starting the Week with Music, Movement, and Togetherness

Written on 13 October 2025

With music, sunshine, and great spirits, the German International School Accra started the week after the autumn break. On the basketball court, students were greeted with cheerful tunes and lots of smiling faces – and two birthday children were celebrated with a joyful “Happy Birthday.” Principal Rainer Kropp-Kurta then gave a brief outlook on the exciting days ahead: on Tuesday, the new Football Academy with David Detzler and Collins Onyisi kicks off; on Thursday, students will join the Universal Wonderful Street Academy in Jamestown for the March for Children’s Rights; and on Saturday, GISA will host the big “Day of the German Language – 130 Million – German Connects,” featuring student exhibitions and performances from their project week, alongside many partner organizations from across Ghana. A wonderful start to a week full of music, encounters, and inspiration at GISA.
