Namdah Studios wins GISA scholarship video competition

On 5 November 2026, Alexina Adja-Cudjoe and Ishmael Agyapong of Namdah Studios visited the German International School Accra (GISA) to receive their certificate and cash prize of GHS 10,000. Their video won the “ESP Next Content Creator” competition.

We invited creators across Ghana to make a video introducing families to our Excellence Scholarship Programme (ESP). Five entries reached the final. Social media views, likes and other interactions accounted for 30% of the final score. A school committee of parents, teachers and students contributed a further 30%. The remaining 40% came from the school leadership team, who considered each video’s originality, the quality of its production and how clearly it conveyed its message.

The ESP helps motivated, high-achieving children in Ghana attend GISA by covering 83% of the regular tuition fees for families who need financial support. In January 2027, the new scholarship recipients will begin a free intensive German course to prepare them for lessons taught in German.

The videos helped more families discover the scholarship. We received 45 complete applications for the third round, a substantial increase over the first two rounds. Around thirty applicants have been invited to our assessment centre on 7 November.

Congratulations to Alexina Adja-Cudjoe and Ishmael Agyapong! We would also like to thank every creator who took part. Each of you found your own way to tell families about the scholarship. We appreciate the time, skill and imagination you put into your videos and the part you played in helping more children hear about this opportunity.
