New Parent Representatives Elected

At today’s meeting of the parent representatives, Monika Althaus and Thorsten van Honk were elected as the new parent representatives of the German International School Accra. We warmly congratulate them and look forward to continuing our close and constructive cooperation.

The meeting focused on several key topics, including the new Policy on Parent Participation, the further development of the secondary school with a view to future qualifications and the GIB, German language support, the campus master plan, and the annual calendar of major school events.

The school and kindergarten calendar for 2027/28 was also discussed. Further work on the calendar has been referred to a working group involving parent representatives, the school leadership and the kindergarten leadership in order to develop a balanced proposal.
