Off to a Great Start – GISA Kicks Off the 2025/26 School Year with a City Tour of Accra
The 2025/26 school year is just around the corner – and GISA welcomed the new academic year with a special gesture: a guided city tour of Accra. New colleagues and long-standing team members came together in a relaxed atmosphere to get to know one another and gain a vibrant first impression of the city.
Led by our knowledgeable guide Gerald, the group explored some of Accra’s most iconic sites: Oxford Street, Osu Castle, the colorful Makola Market, the historic district of Jamestown, the striking Black Star Monument, and Jubilee House, the seat of government. But beyond sightseeing, the tour also offered many useful tips for daily life in Accra – especially helpful for our newcomers.
Two special stops added to the charm of the day: a relaxed coffee break at the atmospheric Jamestown Café and a lunch with a stunning ocean view at the Afrikana Beach House.
This successful start to our orientation week created a wonderful spirit of connection and anticipation – a true highlight for the entire GISA team!
