Our day at the botanical garden in Aburi

When we arrived at school on Tuesday, we said goodbye to our parents and got on the bus. Then we travelled an hour and a half to the botanical garden in Aburi. The road was winding and went up into the mountains. When we arrived, we were all nauseous, but overall we were all glad to be there. The first thing we did was find the perfect picnic spot, spread out our blankets and ate our snacks and pretzel rolls. Then we did lots of different things:

- We made lots of bracelets. Some were difficult and others were easy to make. There were lots of colours to choose from and the bracelets turned out really nice.

- Playing chess was fun. Mrs Klaes is the best chess player. Different children played chess.

- We jumped rope. It was very difficult, but it was fun.

- Some children played Halli Galli and Skipo. That was nice.

- We saw a "diamond" and took it with us and showed it to everyone. Then we looked everywhere for more, but found nothing.

- A few of us climbed a tree. That was very cool. There was a poisonous millipede in the tree. Some of us took cool photos.

- We played football. Titus scored a goal and there was an 11 metre penalty.

- We saw a squirrel during the football game. It was very fast and jumped into the bush. We wanted to see it again, but it was gone. Then Destiny shouted: "A squirrel!". We looked and saw two more.

For lunch we had a delicious wrap with cheese and mini bofrots for dessert. We then went on a tour and learnt about the different trees. We saw a 100-year-old tree and a dead tree that was 600 years old. Then we had an ice cream.

Finally, we went back to school. We were tired on the bus journey and some children slept, played or chatted. We arrived and everyone was exhausted, hungry and happy because it had been a great day.

P.S.: Someone farting on the bus.
