Support, Encounters, and a Touch of Paradise

At the end of May, once again, GISA’s parents, staff, and community members supported the medical team from the Gerald Asamoah Foundation and the organization Kinderherzen e.V. with great enthusiasm and conviction – and in truly special ways.

The emotional movie night at the Swiss Club reminded everyone of the heart of this mission: saving the lives of children with heart conditions – and showing humanity that transcends borders.

Often, it was the small gestures that made a big impact: fresh fruit and cake for the team, giving up the teachers' lounge coffee machine to support the hospital staff, or simply offering a listening ear and kind words.

A special highlight was the weekend outing organized by our Parents’ Association Chairperson, Thorsten van Honk: the excursion to the Adome Waterfalls near Aburi gave the team renewed energy after their intense days of work – and a chance to experience the breathtaking beauty of Ghana. Afterwards, the guests enjoyed a well-deserved moment of rest and refreshment in the infinity pool at Hillburi Resort – a perfect ending to a powerful journey.
