🏓 Twice the Fun: Our Second Table Tennis Table Is Here!

As promised before the holidays: It’s here! Our second table tennis table is ready and waiting for exciting matches, fast rallies and new break-time challenges.

Since last school year, another favourite activity has established itself at the German International School Accra alongside the all-time classic football: table tennis! And on some days, the little white ball even manages to steal the spotlight from the big football.

Our first table tennis table was in high demand last school year and was almost constantly in use during breaks. At times, it felt as if everyone wanted to play at once – so patience, good coordination and occasionally a little negotiating skill were definitely needed.

That is why we kept our promise from last school year during the holidays: a second table tennis table was built, painted and prepared for action. From now on, there is twice as much space for serves, rallies and perhaps even the occasional break-time tournament.

And there is more good news: our familiar “net problem” is finally a thing of the past. Both tables are now equipped with new, sturdy nets – hopefully a lasting solution for many matches to come.

A big thank you to all the helping hands and creative minds who planned, built, painted and organised everything and made sure that we can start the new school year with two fully equipped table tennis tables.

So: grab your bats, put the ball on the table – and let the games begin! 🏓
