Visit from boxing world champion Freddy Kiwitt

Last Tuesday there was a nice surprise. We had a visit from Freddy “Prettyboy” Kiwitt, who has been world welterweight boxing champion since 2023. He was born in Liberia and grew up in Flensburg. For his next fight on March 29, in which he will defend his title, he has trained at the legendary “Bronx Boxing Gym” in Jamestown.

Freddy came to boxing relatively late and started at the age of 18. He quickly knocked out one opponent after another and in 2019 he became both the first
German boxer and the first Liberian boxer to win the European Championships and the African Championships. African champion on July 20, 2019, when he knocked down his opponent Samuel Turkson in the 4th round here in Accra. Today, Freddy has won 24 of his 27 fights, 14 of them by knockout.

Thank you very much Freddy. The students were thrilled and the atmosphere was like in a boxing arena. We are keeping our fingers crossed for your next fight and all those that will follow.
