German Protestant Congregation in Accra

At the German International School Accra (GISA), we see ourselves not only as an educational institution but also as a place of cultural exchange and shared values. In this spirit, we maintain a close and trusting cooperation with the German Protestant Congregation in Accra – an officially recognized overseas congregation of the Protestant Church in Germany (EKD), closely connected to the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG).

This partnership reflects our openess towards religious communities that contribute to the promotion of German language and culture abroad. It supports our educational mission through joint projects such as German-language church services – most recently the Summer Service 2025, which served as a wonderful example of shared community.

The congregation also offers activities for children and youth, such as special children's services, church music groups, or confirmation classes – potentially also as part of GISA’s project weeks.

Regular German-language services are held every second Sunday of the month (Ridge Church, right next to the Kempinski Hotel, 1st floor, wheelchair accessible). All denominations are warmly welcome.
