Creative, Cultural, Collaborative – Project Time in Primary School

During Project Time in our Primary School, students explore the German language and culture in many different ways – creatively, musically, digitally and hands-on. At the start of the new school year, they can choose from a colourful range of projects that give them plenty of space to discover, create and work together.

In “Fun with Clay”, students work with clay and create their own beautiful objects. “Germany Sounds – A Musical Journey Through Germany” explores folk songs from different German regions as well as classical and popular music, with the project also preparing its own stage performances. In “Puppet Pals”, children invent stories, bring characters to life and turn their ideas into short videos using iPads.

The “German Festivals” project takes students on a journey through the year, discovering festivals, traditions and customs from Germany. And in “Once Upon a Time in Germany”, well-known fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm are brought to life through crafts, storytelling and creative design.

Project Time thus combines language learning with creativity, culture, music, digital media and practical experiences – while giving our students the opportunity to develop their own ideas and talents.

The projects are already working towards a special highlight: their results will be presented on Saturday, 31 October 2026, as part of German Language Day on the GISA campus. Together with numerous other cultural and language partners, our students will contribute to a lively celebration of the German language and the many connections between Germany and Ghana.

We are looking forward to seeing and hearing what our young artists, storytellers, musicians and creators will produce!
