Plastic bottles become lanterns

On many occasions, it is difficult or impossible to avoid buying plastic bottles. The resulting waste continues to be a major problem for the environment, as plastic only breaks down very slowly and often ends up in nature.

Class 1/2 gave some plastic bottles from the beautiful KOSA beach a second life with a creative craft project. The students transformed them into colourful lanterns using coloured paper and lights.

This project was not only fun to do, but also raised the children's awareness of environmental protection and recycling.
