Discover, Create, Reflect – Project Time in Secondary School
Project Time in our Secondary School offers students a dedicated space for independent, creative and interdisciplinary learning. They explore Germany from a variety of perspectives – through its language, culture, society and natural environment – and develop their own products and forms of presentation.
In the project “Natural Ecosystems in Germany”, students take a closer look at selected habitats. They explore their characteristics, analyse threats and challenges, and become young eco-experts along the way.
“Germany Through the Year” focuses on the seasons, festivals and traditions. The group creates its own calendar and explores how cultural life in Germany changes throughout the year.
Art and language come together in the project “Famous German Art”. Students select well-known works of art, explore their images, colours, atmosphere and background, and create their own audio descriptions. These recorded texts are then brought together to form a small audio museum.
In “Berlin Calls Accra”, music, theatre and spoken language take centre stage. Through voice, movement, rhythm and performance, students create a lively encounter between Berlin and Accra and discover the German language and culture in a very different way.
Social and cultural questions are at the heart of “Germany in Motion – Germany Is Changing”. The project explores migration, identity, culture and global connections. The results are brought together in a creative gallery walk, inviting students to view Germany as a diverse and constantly changing society.
Project Time in Secondary School shows how learning can cross subject boundaries: through research, creativity, critical thinking and plenty of room for students’ own ideas. We are looking forward to seeing the many different results and presentations our students will create.
