A journey to Hebron with the German International School
Last Wednesday marked a memorable excursion for the students of class 5/6 from the German International School Accra. They embarked on a journey to Hebron, where they got to know the Chance for Children project in Hebron. CFC offers in Hebron a home for 30 boys and 40 girls in this compound, far from the dangers of the streets.
Upon arrival, the students and teachers were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, instantly feeling at home. We played a game to get to know each other a little better and got a tour of the compound. It was really nice to see their learning space, washrooms and even their bedrooms. The guided tour through the children's accommodation offered valuable insights into daily life at Chance for Children
The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the collaborative painting session. Side by side, the students unleashed their creativity, painting onto canvases and connecting through art. The games we played provided another opportunity for shared laughter and friendship.
As they said farewell to their new friends, the students carried with them more than just memories; they carried a newfound understanding of the work they do in Hebron. Reflecting on their experience, the students found it exciting and informative. We are looking forward to the next meeting!
