Class Trip Grades 5 & 6 – Wednesday, 5 November 2025

Written on 05 November 2025

We went to breakfast at 8:00 a.m. There was Milo, tea or coffee to drink, and milk bread, vegetables, Spanish omelette and sausages to eat. After a relaxed breakfast, we set off for the Akosombo Dam. There we saw small and large water swirls. Afterwards, we went on to the “Bridge Garden”. It was beautiful, but we felt sorry for the animals there – their enclosures were far too small and not suitable for them. There was a Komodo dragon and an alligator, and we poured a little water into their dry enclosures. We also saw ostriches, rabbits, geese and a freely roaming horse. On the playground, we had lots of fun and could really let off steam.

At midday, we returned to the hotel for lunch. Afterwards, we wrote down our wishes and things we are grateful for on small pieces of paper and folded them into paper boats. We then went for a walk to the Volta River to let the boats float, but suddenly a thunderstorm surprised us! We got completely soaked and took shelter in another hotel until the rain stopped – it was quite an adventure! When we got back, we all jumped into the pool. Tonight, after dinner, there will be a karaoke party!
