Grammar, Puzzles and Christmas Cookies

This week, the DaF students in Years 7/8 demonstrated how confidently they already master German grammar. The task “The Perfect Pair” was therefore well within their reach: starting from an infinitive verb, they identified the correct form in the present perfect tense and then created and wrote a suitable sentence.

Our DaF Advent Calendar also offered a variety of tricky tasks and riddles, which the students were usually able to solve quickly – for example, naming ingredients that are essential during the Christmas season or creating word chains with festive vocabulary.

To round off the week, the students researched the best Christmas cookie recipes. Next week, these recipes will be baked together, so the class can surprise the other students with one last festive treat on the final school day before the Christmas holidays.
