Bamboo Planting Project – Made Possible by the School Support Association

Written on 16 December 2025

Shortly before the Christmas holidays, a sustainable bamboo planting project was carried out on our school grounds thanks to the support of the School Support Association. The association fully funded 40 bamboo plants, making this initiative possible.

The project was initiated by parents and pedagogically supported by Ve Fredrich and Russell Adu, in close cooperation with our gardeners Dominic Adamu and Isaac Ayamga. The bamboo was planted along the inside of the school wall.

Bamboo is particularly valuable in Ghana: it grows quickly, absorbs CO₂, protects the soil from erosion and acts as a natural air filter. For our students, the activity became a hands-on learning experience in sustainability, responsibility and community.

This project highlights the important role of the School Support Association in enabling sustainable and educational initiatives at our school.
