Introduction of Nancy Twieku – School Nurse at GISA
We are pleased to introduce Nancy Twieku, a qualified nurse with three years of professional experience. As a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional, she is committed to delivering high-quality care and promoting the well-being of all students.
In her role as school nurse at GISA, Ms. Twieku will provide medical support, promote health education, and contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy school environment.
Her key responsibilities include:
- Providing first aid and medical care for minor injuries and illnesses.
- Conducting health assessments and screenings for students.
- Developing and implementing individual health plans, including for students with special needs.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student health and well-being.
- Delivering health education to students, staff, and families.
- Promoting preventive health measures and healthy habits.
- Counseling students, staff, and parents on health-related concerns and coordinating referrals to external medical professionals when necessary.
- Serving as a resource for staff on health-related topics within the curriculum.
- Assisting other staff members when needed.
