Class trip 5 und 6 vom 14.11. – 17.11.23 to Escape3Point Ecolodge
Grade 5 and 6 of the German International School Accra spent four unforgettable days full of adventure and experiences at the picturesque Escape3Point Ecolodge. Besides an exciting surf course, the students also received an introduction to the Junior Lifeguard Course, which not only strengthened their skills in the water but also raised their awareness of safety and responsibility when dealing with the ocean and surfing.
The first day of our trip started early as we set off from Accra and made the journey to Cape Three Point. We arrived at our destination around midday and after a hearty meal, we settled into our accommodation. The students' anticipation was palpable as they prepared to explore the world of surfing. An initial theory lesson gave them an insight into the basics of this exciting sport, followed by a practical introduction in the sea under the guidance of experienced surf instructors Brett and Losih.
On the second day, we started with another early morning surf lesson, followed by an intensive theory session. The students continued to develop their skills and became increasingly confident on the waves. In the afternoon, the focus was on the junior lifeguard course, which was not only educational but also entertaining. Games on the beach such as "King of the Beach" and "Tik Tak Toe" provided additional fun and strengthened the group spirit.
The third day began with another surf lesson, followed by a trip to a neighboring village. There we climbed the lighthouse and enjoyed the breathtaking sunset over the sea together, which was an unforgettable experience for many students.
On the fourth and final day of our school trip, we went surfing again and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. At around 2 pm, we made our way back to Accra, where the parents were already eagerly waiting for their children and we arrived with many unforgettable memories in our luggage.
