Surf trip to Kokrobite: Year 5 and 6 experience a surf-tastic adventure

On February 24, 2024, some students from grades 5 and 6 of the German International School in Accra went on an exciting extracurricular surf trip to Kokrobite. The aim of the trip was to improve their surfing skills and spend an unforgettable day on the beach together.

The young surfers set off with great enthusiasm and anticipation. When they arrived in Kokrobite, they were greeted by bright sunshine and a refreshing sea breeze - perfect conditions for a day full of adventure.

Under the expert guidance of experienced surf instructors from Mr. Bright's surf school, they worked diligently on their surfing skills. The students learned how to balance on the board, read the waves and enjoy surfing. With each attempt, they were able to improve their skills and experience the feeling of surfing intensively.

But surfing wasn't the only thing on the program - the day on the beach was enjoyed together. The students played in the waves and then discussed the highlights of the day over chips and chicken nuggets.

With beaming faces and many new impressions, the students returned to Accra in the evening. The surf trip to Kokrobite was not only an opportunity to improve their surfing skills, but also a wonderful adventure that Class 5 and 6 will remember for a long time to come.
