Potsdam theatre workshop

On 23.08.2024, Prof. Dr. Winnie-Karen Giera and student assistant Lilly Woltersdorf from Inclusive German Didactics visited the German International School in Accra (Ghana). The 6th and 7th graders joined them in a theater workshop with a youth text on the topic of bullying. After a few warm-up exercises for the drama, they started practising the text. The reading training led to a read-aloud play.

Due to the limited time, the play could not be read in its entirety, but all the children presented an intermediate version on a small practice stage. A successful conclusion at the end of the theater project was the children's “warm shower” in the reflection round. Everyone would have liked to continue the theater project and would have liked to play more.
