Reading Brings Us Together – GISA Celebrates National Reading Aloud Day
Today at GISA, everything revolved around reading aloud. On the occasion of National Reading Aloud Day, our students took their classmates on journeys into fantastic worlds full of ghosts, magic, and happiness.
The children from Class 3/4 surprised the kindergarteners with a self-written story, while the DaF students from Classes 5/6 enchanted the children in Grades 1/2 with the book “A Little Piece of Happiness.”
A special thank you goes to Miriam Böhme, a dedicated parent from Class 1/2, who read the touching story of the shepherd girl from Bethlehem to the children.
The grand finale was a small pre-Christmas theater performance by the DaF students from Classes 7/8. They took all the children from kindergarten and school on an adventurous journey to the North Pole – where a grumpy polar bear had stolen the Christmas presents. Of course, the presents were saved, and the day ended with many happy faces.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this special day – and especially to our wonderful readers!
