Apaw Russell AduI am Russell Adu Apaw, a certified educator hailing from Ghana. I am honored to serve as a Cambridge Science instructor and Co-Mathematics teacher to Patrick at GISA during the academic year of 2024/2025. With over a decade of teaching experience in both the Ghanaian and Cambridge educational frameworks, I have a proven history of guiding students to excel in the realm of Science across various examinations. My passion lies in assisting students in uncovering their interests and maximizing their potential. I firmly believe in cultivating a dynamic and stimulating learning atmosphere, where my pedagogical approach incorporates diverse methods such as practical experiments, collaborative projects, and interactive dialogues. I am enthusiastic about acquainting myself with each of you and collaborating towards the enhancement and fortification of GISA's academic prowess.

Inspiring and nurturing young minds to cultivate a deep love for learning is my fervent passion. My unwavering belief in the profound impact of education propels me to establish captivating and inclusive classroom environments where students are empowered to unlock their full potential. Throughout my academic endeavors, I have cultivated a robust proficiency in Cambridge Science. My roles as a teacher have enriched my comprehension of effective pedagogical strategies and the significance of cultivating a conducive learning atmosphere.

Beyond my scholarly pursuits, I am fervently dedicated to immersing myself in the melodious rhythms of Jazz and the soulful tunes of country music. Engaging in educative material has imparted upon me invaluable lessons in teamwork, resilience, and analytical thinking. These competencies are indispensable for a proficient educator, enabling me to establish meaningful connections with students and ignite within them a passion for continuous learning. I am eagerly poised to contribute my expertise and enthusiasm to a vibrant educational community where I can positively influence the lives of young individuals. I am confident in my capacity to design captivating instructional modules, foster a nurturing classroom ambiance, and equip students with a solid foundation for future accomplishments.

Alex Tetteyfio BergfeldMy name is Alex Tetteyfio Bergfeld. I grew up in the north of Germany, where I belong to the Danish minority, where I completed my technical college entrance qualification and then studied to become a teacher. I had my first teaching experience at the age of 20 and have been at many different schools since then. These include the Jens-Jessen Skolen in Flensburg and the European School of Copenhagen. I have also worked with young people in other areas. Whether as a speaker for extracurricular and political education, empowerment offers, workshops or neurodiversity - I have made it my goal to shape my life in many different ways in order to be able to recognize each person in their uniqueness and to be able to support them in the best possible way. About three years ago, I published “Eine Puppe für Ashé”, a children's book critical of racism, which helped me to become more aware of my own position in this world. I enjoy making music and am currently working on another book (this time for adults), which I hope will be published before 2030. I feel very much at home in Ghana. The country and the people give me strength, courage and hope. I am looking forward to exciting days, weeks and months with all of you at GISA.

Clemencia MayogaI am Clemencia Mayoga, proudly Kenyan. I am an enthusiastic English teacher with a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. I uphold several years of experience in teaching various age groups in schools like German School Nairobi and Cambridge school in Addis Ababa-Ethiopia. I focus on developing students' language skills through interactive lessons that promote critical thinking and creativity. My teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of communication, cultural understanding, and a love for literature. I strive to create a supportive classroom where students feel confident to express themselves in English, encouraging them to explore the language through diverse activities, discussions, and real-world applications. I ensure to stay updated with the latest pedagogical trends to ensure my students receive the best education possible. It is with great honor to join GISA and I it's my goal to inspire, empower, and impact positivity to the learners and the school at large.
