Learning, marveling, and creating: Our Underwater World

Written on 16 February 2026

Over the past few weeks, everything at our kindergarten has revolved around the exciting topic of the “Underwater World”. The children participated with great curiosity and enthusiasm in the wide range of creative activities lovingly prepared by our educators, covering various areas of education.

The children learned in a playful way which animals live in the sea, what they eat, and how diverse the underwater world is. Through experiments with water they were able to make their own discoveries and give free rein to their creativity. This resulted in impressive works of art such as colorful puffer fish and imaginative aquariums with numerous sea creatures and aquatic plants.

An important part of the project was also the topic of marine pollution. The children learned in an age-appropriate way about the effects of waste on marine life and how we humans can protect our environment – for example, by treating nature with care and keeping our surroundings clean.

The “Underwater World” project thus became an educational, creative and at the same time sensitive experience that the children will remember for a long time to come.
