A Creative Plant Model by Class 1/2 🌱
Written on 01 October 2025
As part of their botany project, our Class 1/2 learners created a colourful and educational model of a plant. Using simple materials such as coloured paper and a cardboard tube, the children designed all essential plant parts in a way that makes plant anatomy easy to understand. The flower was crafted from large red petals with a dark centre, similar to a poppy, while green paper leaves were placed just below the blossom. A sturdy cardboard tube served as the stem, and brown paper strips spreading outward at the base represented the roots that anchor the plant in the soil and absorb water and nutrients. This hands-on activity allowed the children to combine creativity with scientific learning, turning theory into a vivid and memorable experience.
