🌍 Energy Sources of the Future – Presentations Full of Creativity and Insight

Written on 20 November 2025

Over the past weeks, the students of Grades 7/8 have been exploring the topic of β€œEnergy Sources of the Future” in Geography. Working in four groups, they researched different forms of energy production – from solar and wind power to hydropower, biomass, geothermal energy, and even fossil and nuclear energy.

The goal of this project was to understand how different energy sources work, examine their advantages and disadvantages, and reflect on the role they may play in the future.

With great dedication and teamwork, the students created impressive written reports and engaging oral presentations, supported by informative posters, models, and small demonstrations. Each group found its own creative way to illustrate its energy source – whether through models of renewable energies, visual explanations of geothermal processes, or clear and structured presentations on fossil and nuclear energy.

The students explained complex concepts clearly and accurately, compared energy usage in Ghana and Germany, and discussed the opportunities and challenges of the global energy transition. It was wonderful to see subject knowledge, creativity, and presentation skills come together so successfully.

In the end, everyone agreed: The energy of the future is in our hands – and knowledge is the first step toward change.
